Our Intern, Melissa, chose the order of the “Most to Least: Likely to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse" for the following reasons:
1. Aries: Aries will most likely survive, as they’ve been preparing for this moment and tried warning the others who didn’t believe them…definitely a test of survival of the fittest. they’re the ones with the not-so-secret stash of weapons on the side. Of cousre, the zombies can’t keep up with Aries.
2. Scorpio: Scorpio just knows how to handle these kinds of situations…no questions asked.
3. Capricorn: like Aries, Caps have their strategic mode of escape/defense down pat, and is likely to be the ones leading others to safety
4. Sagittarius: Physically quick to escape and has the brains to outsmart the zombies, but won’t really take the whole thing seriously..
5. Aquarius: What’s to get all worked up for? they deal with theoretical “zombies” everyday…it’s nothing out of the ordinary for them.
6. Leo: Sees this chance to show off their bravery, but zombies are just too messy and gross to deal with.
7. Gemini: Will prove to be ineffective in this situation, as they know where everyone’s hiding places are and eventually are overheard by the enemies.
8. Virgo: In an effort to carry out their ingenious plan of defense, the whole thing is too much for them to handle, and Virgo just has a panic attack.
9. Taurus: Taurus sees no need to move quickly, and goes about their day normally. like with most other situations, they remain unfazed.
10. Libra: Libra will probably say they just need a friend, and that they are completely misunderstood creatures. In an effort to make amends with the zombies, Libra’s safety is compromised.
11. Cancer: The first one to find shelter, but is ultimately unable to properly defend themselves or fight efficiently
12. Pisces: Pisces will be running in circles confused as always and will eventually just be eaten by one of the zombies.
There’s theories of nature vs nurture -
Nature suggests that your personality is set in stone when you are born.
Nurture suggests that your personality develops solely based on your environment.
Astrology (which I love) is a blend of both. Your personality can be predicted from the placements of celestial bodies in the heavens, and also understands that it can be shifted and affected by your environment.
Which is why I always say that so many other factors can affect your personality - and I always mention your upbringing, because how your parents raise you can definitely affect your personality.
Sometimes parents give their children similar traits as their own, sometimes they adjust the ones their children already have, either stronger or weaker.
For example; Aquarius are known for being rebellious. When raised by a parent who allows their freedom, but still sets down logical limits they are likely to be independent, but not as focused on rebelling against authority figures as an Aquarius who’s parents are more strict and restricting.
Similarly, Pisces need emotional support. In a family of mostly, say, Fire or Air Signs, they’ll likely cling more to their romantic partners, whereas a Pisces who’s parents give them that emotional support is likely to be more independent later in life.
The Sun is in each sign for 30 degrees (usually around 30 days). Each Decan equals 10 degrees out of those 30. So a “1st Decan Pisces” Is one born within the first 10 days of the Pisces cycle.
The dates, as with all Astrological dates, are relative. What is consistent, however, is the degrees.
First Decan: 0.01-10.00
Second Decan: 10.01-20.00
Third Decan: 20.01-30.00
If you’re close to a cusp, or the dates mentioned for each Decan, always double check your Sun Sign and the degree numbers next to it. You can do that, here!
What you’re referring to is called a Natal Chart! (Click here to read more info on what that is)

Don’t worry – we’ve all wondered that at some point.
Perhaps the first step to understanding what a Natal Chart is, is to look at its synonym, as it’s also called a “Birth Chart.”
The two elements of which are “birth” and “chart.”
"What is the ‘Chart’ element of a Birth Chart, then?"
Yes, we can. However, to do a real natal chart report would take about 40+ pages. It would be difficult to do so in a timely manner, while keeping up with the steady flow of questions we receive.
For this reason, we direct people to the links on each of the aspects with generalized descriptions of them in the signs.
Calli offers Natal Chart Reports for those who want the full (40+ pages) interpretation.
The Sun is the most important, because it’s like the filter.
The other planets are how you feel, think, respond, react, value, etc. But all of that goes through the Sun’s filter and then shows in their behavior.
If someone has a high concentration of a Sign/element than it’s likely they won’t resemble all of their Sun Sign, but even then it’s still the sort of final door from internal to external.
Of course, as I’ve said - when you’re in your adolescent ages, you tend to behave mostly based on your emotional responses because of hormones and such, so your Moon sign tends to be stronger.
But in general, as children, and mostly as adults, your Sun sign plays a bigger role.
My theory is that when you’re an adolescent (like, ages 12 - 21) your Moon Sign becomes very strong. This is because your Moon is your sort of knee-jerk reactions, your emotional states. When we’re teenagers, we tend to just act based on those emotional impulses, because of hormones and growing and stuff.
When we’re children, and especially as we reach adulthood, we tend to fully embrace/embody our Sun Signs more fully.
We’ve written multiple articles (all of which are lengthy and detailed) about the compatibility of all the signs, with the other signs.
You can find them all by clicking on the “Compatibility” tab on the top of our page, or going to the below link.
"What about sex? How is my sign with their sign in bed?"
That’s also discussed in all of the romantic compatibility posts.
"What are the differences and similarities between my sign and their sign?"
That’s also discussed in all of the romantic and platonic compatibility posts.
Sun: Everything - the Sun is usually the pure essence of your personality, and while other planets may affect your initial reaction/feelings, the Sun usually depicts how you actually behave.
Moon: Your feelings at heart. The stuff that’s happening under the surface, that people may not always see. It’s your knee-jerk reaction/thoughts.
Ascendant: How you first present yourself to people. This may not always be exactly accurate of who you are. It’s your “outer shell” and usually only comes into play when you’re first meeting someone.
Mercury: How you communicate/learn. Even if you feel one way, how you express it may be slightly different. You may feel like a water balloon of emotion, and express that in a very calm and logical manner.
Venus: What you enjoy in relationships, how you want to behave in them, what you find attractive in others, and what you use to attract other people. How you feel about making love.
Mars:How you handle our anger, what makes you angry. How you view challenges, and approach things that you want. What you find physically attractive in people. How you feel about sex.
When looking at different types of compatibility, we look at different parts of the natal chart. Of course, to be thorough, you should examine the entire natal chart, but here are the key planets for each relationship type:
Platonic: Sun, Moon, and Mercury. This is how we act, how we feel, and how we communicate. These matter for friendships, because they depict how we behave and how we act around and talk to our friends.
Familial: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars. This is how we act, how we feel, how we communicate, and what makes us angry. These matter for our families, because they depict how we behave around the house, and what can set off arguments.
Romantic: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars. This is how we act, how we feel, how we communicate, how we love, and what makes us angry. These matter for our relationships because they all describe the ways in which we treat our significant others, the way we want to be treated, and the things we want.
Classmates/Coworkers: Sun, Mercury, and Ascendant. This is how we act, how we communicate, and our outer shell. These matter for acquaintances because They’re all our out-ward behavior/communications that we present to people who we aren’t as close to.
The dates are relative, as it can vary from year to year. If you’re unsure of which sign you are, put your information into this website, and it’ll tell you which constellation the Sun was in at the time of your birth.
Freud theorized, and many modern Psychologists agree, that people tend to end up with a life partner that’s similar to their opposite sex parent.
So a girl may end up with a man like her father, and a boy with a girl like his mother.
This is usually because they have a stronger bond with those parents.
However; this can be altered depending on which parent they have a stronger bond with. A boy strongly attached to his father may find himself with a partner (male or female) with similar traits, and vice versa.
Translating that to Astrology, I don’t think it’s quite as likely to be the same Sign, but I do think it’s quite likely to be with someone of the same Element.
However; it may not be the same sign/element, as much as the similar traits. Like, the romanticism of a Pisces parent may subconsciously lead you to end up with a Libra, because you enjoy that romantic nature.
I’ll use myself and my Husband as examples.
I absolutely adore my (Virgo) father. There are many reasons that I won’t get into, but many discussions with my (Capricorn) husband had lead us to discover that both my father and my Husband have many similar traits. This is a good example of a girl ending up with a partner of the same element as her father.
On the other hand, my husband’s mother was absent for most of his life. He has a very strong bond with his (Virgo) father. Discussions also lead us to discover that his Father and I (Aries) share many traits, specifically our playful/childish nature. This shows not only the connection to a parent of the same gender of them, but also choosing a partner not of similar element of Zodiac Sign, but similar traits nonetheless.
We love your questions, and we don’t mind anonymous ones, but we’re going to do something new! (and probably something we should have done this whole time! Merp.)
If you ask us something and don’t click anonymous, we’ll tag your answer with your blog name! That way, if you don’t feel like scrolling through hundreds of asks to find yours— you can simply search your blog name in the tags search on your dashboard!
We recommend if you have a really pressing question you do this, or if you know that after you ask us something, you won’t be on Tumblr for another 12-24 hours. We get several asks a day… Over 100. And generally, if we’re not having a bust personal day we get to them within 6 hours.
Love you guys :D
