Depression and Social Anxiety are not a personality traits. Depression is a Mood Disorder, and Social Anxiety a Thought Disorder. This is like asking me which Zodiac Sign may be most prone to being Schizophrenic, Alzheimer’s, pr Diabetic, or which most prone to having Leukemia, Cataracts, or Cerebral Palsy.
Illnesses and disorders are usually either genetic, or developed due to events during one’s life.
While Mental Illnesses and Disorders are seen in a more abstract light to physical ailments, they’re serious medical conditions nonetheless. Mental Illnesses They are often caused by heredity, imbalanced brain chemicals, or life events.
Astrology can predict potential personality traits and what influences one might encounter. It can not predict heredity, your brain chemicals, or what traumatic events you may encounter.
In summary: There is no correlation between Mental Illnesses, (Mood Disorders, Personality disorders, Thought Disorders, Eating Disorders) and Astrology.
I don’t think sexual orientation has anything to do with Astrology. Each Sign (every person) has the same potential to like the same sex, both sexes, the opposite sex, personalities, or no one. It’s completely personal preference, and not really something that can be predicted.
Just like your taste in music, favorite foods, clothing styles, etc can’t be predicted. They’re about you, personally, and not your Natal Chart. :)
It may have to do with your Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Ascendant, or any of the other parts of your Natal Chart. Your upbringing, family life, age, life circumstances, and a plethora of other variables may affect it.
The 12 Astrological signs give 12 different ways of living life. For example, the Aries are initiators while Taurus sustain (and can be quite stubborn). Etc…
Just because you are a specific sign doesn’t mean that you have to develop all the traits that your Sun sign in particular possesses, or are unable to develop other signs’ main characteristics.
Astrology is the potential to develop certain traits more than others. It is in no way meant to hinder who you are as a person.
It also has nothing to do with mental disorders, or traumatic experiences that have occurred in your life. Remember, that your perceptions of the world may always be altered, and your personality is always shifting.
So, if you don’t feel like that “balanced” Libra, or “introverted” Pisces, remember that there are other signs to contribute to who you are— and sometimes its just all in what you’ve experienced so far in life!
Astrology is collective data and trends. You may not fit every bit of it, and that’s okay. :)
What you’re referring to is called a Natal Chart! (Click here to read more info on what that is)
We have a Free Natal Chart generator, which you can find here.
For a more in-depth and personalized report, click here.
In short, it’s a calculation of the planets’ location at the time of your birth, and then the interpretation of what that means for your character development.

My theory is that when you’re an adolescent (like, ages 12 - 21) your Moon Sign becomes very strong. This is because your Moon is your sort of knee-jerk reactions, your emotional states. When we’re teenagers, we tend to just act based on those emotional impulses, because of hormones and growing and stuff.
When we’re children, and especially as we reach adulthood, we tend to fully embrace/embody our Sun Signs more fully.
There’s theories of nature vs nurture -
Nature suggests that your personality is set in stone when you are born.
Nurture suggests that your personality develops solely based on your environment.
Astrology (which I love) is a blend of both. Your personality can be predicted from the placements of celestial bodies in the heavens, and also understands that it can be shifted and affected by your environment.
Which is why I always say that so many other factors can affect your personality - and I always mention your upbringing, because how your parents raise you can definitely affect your personality.
Sometimes parents give their children similar traits as their own, sometimes they adjust the ones their children already have, either stronger or weaker.
For example; Aquarius are known for being rebellious. When raised by a parent who allows their freedom, but still sets down logical limits they are likely to be independent, but not as focused on rebelling against authority figures as an Aquarius who’s parents are more strict and restricting.
Similarly, Pisces need emotional support. In a family of mostly, say, Fire or Air Signs, they’ll likely cling more to their romantic partners, whereas a Pisces who’s parents give them that emotional support is likely to be more independent later in life.
This one should explain it.
I’ll also add that it’s not really black and white; some people show more positive traits, or more negative traits. Callow tend to be more of the negative, Erudite tend to be more of the positive.
To judge would take introspection and honesty. Which did you relate to more? Do you tend to show the more negative, or positive traits?
You can read all about that, by clicking here! (or by Clicking “Dominant Natal Chart Elements” on any of the “Natal Chart” pages.)
The Sun is in each sign for 30 degrees (usually around 30 days). Each Decan equals 10 degrees out of those 30. So a “1st Decan Pisces” Is one born within the first 10 days of the Pisces cycle.
The dates, as with all Astrological dates, are relative. What is consistent, however, is the degrees.
First Decan: 0.01-10.00 Second Decan: 10.01-20.00 Third Decan: 20.01-30.00
If you’re close to a cusp, or the dates mentioned for each Decan, always double check your Sun Sign and the degree numbers next to it. You can do that, here!

What it essentially comes down to, is that the Sun is not in two signs at once. Most of the traits you feel are “virgo-like” or “leo-like” (whichever you’re not) can be found elsewhere in your Natal Chart.
This post and this post elaborate on that.
The dates are relative, as it can vary from year to year. If you’re unsure of which sign you are, put your information into this program, and it’ll tell you which constellation the Sun was in at the time of your birth.
And then here to see others’ opinions, too. <3

I’ve written multiple articles (all of which are lengthy and detailed) about the compatibility of all the signs, with the other signs.
You can find them all by clicking on the “Compatibility” tab on the top of our page, or going to the below link.
Or you can purchase one of my Compatibility reports.
Yes, we can. However, to do a real natal chart report would take about 60+ pages. It would be difficult to do so in a timely manner, while keeping up with the steady flow of questions we receive.
For this reason, we direct people to the links on each of the aspects with lengthy detailed descriptions each of the parts of the Natal Chart in the signs (which can be find by following the links on the left side of our page, or going through the Site Directory).
I offer several different types of Natal Chart Reports.
We have posts on friendships between all of the signs, that describe platonic relationships. We also have posts on “Friendship Polarities” which describe families that have a concentration of a certain element. Find them by following the below link.
